How to set up your Email using Outlook Express
- Open your Outlook Express program by clicking the icon on your
Quick Launch task bar or Desktop

- Once the program is opened choose your "Tools" menu and choose the
"Accounts" menu item.

- This will open a dialog box labeled "Internet Accounts" Click the
"Add" button and choose the "Mail" menu option.
- This launches the "Internet Connection Wizard" dialog. The first screen
requests your name or how you would like to be identified to recipients of your
email. Kind of like your return address on postal mail. Enter what you wish and click
"Next"

- Next be sure the "I already have an email address I would like to use button is
selected and then enter your full email address. Click "Next" to continue

- Next we will set the mail server information. This is setting up your electronic
"Post Office" where you will send and receive email from. POP3 should be selected
in the top drop down box. the other 2 boxes will have mail.yourdomainname.com
(or .net, .biz, .info etc.) where "yourdomainname"is the domain name of
your web site. Click "Next" to continue.
- The next screen is critical. Here you will set your user name and password information.
In the user name section be sure to use your complete email address. The next box is
for your password which must be entered exactly as it was given to email administrator. This
value is case sensitive. Click "Next" to continue.

- You have created the account, click"Finish"
- The next step is critical to be able to send mail. Select the account you just
created (probably named mail.mydomain.com) and click on the "Properties" button.
- Select the "Servers" tab

- Next be sure to check the "My server requires authentication" check box.
- Click the "Apply" button
- This next step is a recommended option. Select the "General" tab, because we
often have more than one email account on each computer you can replace the account name with
something more meaningful to you.

- Click "Apply", then click "OK". Close the "Internet Accounts"
window and you are finished.
